IS IT A 3 OR IS IT A 10

It appears the question is asked, on a scale of 1 to 10, a lot. Depending on the case you can be anywhere on the spectrum. Food, pain, this that… whatever!
Have you ever thought about where you are in your business?
I really like the idea of the question. “Are you a 3 or are you a 10” in what you are doing? For example, let’s say you are an auto mechanic. If you are asked, “Hey, on a scale of 1 to 10, how well do you feel you can fix a car?” What would your answer be? A 2? I doubt it. You would probably answer, a 9 or even a 10, depending on your ability to be real with yourself. Just sayin’!
We can expand on this question as well. “On a scale of 1 to 10, how much do you enjoy or even love what you are doing?” Now, this is a big one. Why would you be in business if you didn’t enjoy or love what you are doing? I am hoping that if you are an auto mechanic with an automotive shop and were asked this question it would be a resounding 10! I am sure you would even start to think about engines, transmissions, and all things in between.
Now, what if I asked you: “On a scale of 1 to 10, how much do you like doing bookkeeping, accounting, and payroll?” I am going to assume that I would get a loud now that’s easy… It’s a 1! So, then why spend your valuable time on a 1 when you can focus on your 10? Does your 1 build your business, work in the field you are in, and light you up like fireworks on the 4th of July? Uh no! Your 10 does though!
Let’s talk about your 1. Take that off your plate, contract it out, and put your time back into your 10!
Controller, Accounting, Bookkeeping, and Payroll is my 10. In fact, as the line goes in the movie “Maverick” It’s not who I am it’s what I am. So, let me do this for you! Give yourself your time back to focus on your 10!
